ST. CLAIR

A house we have returned to for many projects over the years! Here is the living room, where in addition to new furnishings, we removed an incongruously elaborate fireplace surround, revealing the original 1940s brick, and complementing it with a custom wood surround that works with the architecture.

In the kitchen, we stripped off a lot of heavy 90's Tuscan molding - but managed to salvage the perfectly good cabinets by painting and re-facing them. A new backsplash, countertops and lighting made the space feel brand-new, yet true to the Traditional style of this house.

The kitchen used to be open to a home office. We removed a lot of that cabinetry, and repurposed the space as a dining room, with a corner dedicated to mixing cocktails and storing wine. (So much more fun than a work space!)

A second-storey addition was another project, with a gradient of blue stairs leading to a light-filled primary suite retreat, including a bathroom that feels like a romantic little spa. The final touch for the bedroom was a beautiful painting we commissioned for the spot by Jess Black.
