What an honor and delight it has been to contribute design to this architectural gem and piece of LA history! The California Club's Beaux Arts building is on the US National Register of Historic Places, and is Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #43. We transformed a series of the Club's hotel suites, pairing sensitivity to the architectural style and established aesthetic of the club with modern comforts and a fresh energy. Art was sourced from the Club's archives, and the wallpaper murals were inspired by an impressive collection of California plein air landscape paintings in the lobby and social spaces of the building.
